How do I get my P60?

At the end of every financial year, you will receive a P60. A P60 is an end-of-year certificate containing all your yearly tax-related information. HMRC keeps a record of your earnings, tax and national insurance contributions. Think of your P60 as a receipt given to you by HMRC for the tax they have taken.

We have now gone paperless. This means the only way of getting your P60 is through the free MySBS app.

To download the free MySBS App:

  1. Search for MySBSPay on your app store
  2. Download the app
  3. Enter the email address on your NHS Professionals profile and your Employee/Assignment Number. You can find your Assignment Number in the top left of your NHS Professionals payslip.
  4. A verification code will be emailed to you. Once you have entered this code into the app you can access your payslips and P60.

You can also get your P60 information online by creating a HMRC personal tax account. You can find out more about HMRC personal tax accounts on the gov.uk website.

If you’ve changed jobs during the tax year, you will only receive a P60 from your current employer. Your former employer should have issued you with a P45 when you left them. A P45 tracks your earnings and tax status from the beginning of the tax year to when left that employer. For more information on P45s, please visit the gov.uk website.

If you have had no earnings in the tax year, you will not receive a P60.
