What references can you accept for a Bank recruited application?
Please only provide references when you are asked to do so. This will be through a third-party provider. We only take references when we have reached the right point in your application process to do so.
References must cover the last 3 years of your employment and/or education.
All employment gaps need to be explained.
We may request character references from a person of standing to cover gaps in employment.
We will contact you with more information if this is needed.
Who can you accept references from?
We can accept written professional references to cover your periods of employment from:
A current line manager
A former line manager, or
An HR department.
If you are studying or have recently finished, we can accept a reference from your tutor or university/college admin department.
