Do I need to provide a CV? What should be on it?

You only need to provide a CV if you have been asked to provide one.


Your CV must include your work history for the last 10 years.

  • For clinical roles, your CV must demonstrate experience in a setting in the UK relevant to your role. Settings include:
    • An NHS Hospital
    • A private hospital
    • A Prison healthcare service
    • A Hospice
    • A Mental Health service
    • A Community healthcare service
    • A Learning Disabilities healthcare service
    • A Care Home (subject to Trust Requirements)
  • This is not applicable for Student Nurses.

Your CV should include:

  • All jobs worked from your current or most recent role to your earliest
  • Dates of when you were working/training
    • This should include the Month and Year (for example, March 2023 to March 2025)
  • Examples of your duties in each role

If you do not include all relevant information, you application will be delayed.
