If you only need a temporary change for an individual member of staff, please see our article I'm a Trust User. How can I request a Personalised Pay Rate for one of my workers?
Adjusting a pay rates for a job role is the best way to change the pay of multiple people. To do this please contact your local Client Services team.
If you believe a pay rate change is needed, you will need to get the relevant authoriser in your Partner Trust or Client to approve this.
- This is usually your Temporary Staffing Manager or NHSP Client Lead but this may differ in your Partner Trust or Client.
- We recommend getting this authorisation in an email to save time later in the process.
- If you are unsure who this is, please contact your local Client Service team for more details.
Once you have authorisation, please forward the authorisation to your local Client Services team. You can find the details of all our Client Services teams here. They will need to know:
- Your name,
- Your role,
- What assignment code or codes you wish to change,
- What pay rate you want it to be set to (split into AFC defined day rates, night rates, Bank Holiday rates, and Sunday rates),
- Who authorised the change,
- Their position, and
- When you would like it to be applied from.
Please Note: In accordance with the contract management specification on pay rate changes contained within the contract, the Partner Trust or Client is required to check the rates and shall notify in writing to NHS Professionals if there are any that are incorrect. In the event any pay rate changes are incorrect and NHS Professionals is not notified by the Partner Trust or Client, NHS Professionals will not be accountable for any loss or liability arising from an error/omission arising from the update pay rate changes implemented by NHS Professionals.
