I need an interview to join NHSP. How do I book this and what do I need to prepare?

As part of your application, you may be invited to have a Clinical Interview which is a professional competency–based interview. Your Clinical Interview usually takes 45 minutes to an 1 hour. The interview aims to find out your suitability for the role you are applying for using the following criteria:

  • Skills and experience
  • Understanding of the role you are applying for
  • Communication skills
  • Situational questioning
  • NHS Values - including your understanding of Equality, Diversity and Inclusion

Please provide a Passport, Driving Licence or National ID Card when you attend your interview. If you are unable to provide one of these, please let us know before the interview.

Booking your Clinical Interview

  • We will ask for your interview availability and any documents you may need to show on the interview.
  • Our team will then arrange with you

I can't make the interview

Informal Interviews

Sometimes, Hiring Managers will ask for an informal interview either over the telephone, through Microsoft Teams or on-site. This is an opportunity to discuss availability and experience for a particular placement and will be arranged through our Specialist Team.

As with your Clinical Interview, all interview feedback will be given to you afterwards.

    How do I get Feedback?

    • Your interviewer will provide your interview feedback to our Specialist Team.
    • Our Specialist Team will be in touch with your feedback results.
    • This feedback will determine if you are suitable for the role.
      • If you have been successful, you will be passed onto your next application stage.
