Why is there more than one ‘Take By’ date by my holiday hours?

Your ‘Take By’ date is usually 1 year from the date of your first shift with us. For example, if you worked your first shift on 1 August 2022, the end of your holiday year would be on 31 July 2022.

All hours earnt within the last month of your holiday year, however, can only be taken after the holiday year has finished. Hours can’t be rolled over into the new year. Because of this, we roll these hours earnt over by one month.

You can book holiday shifts shorter than your average shift length for any holiday earnt within the last month of your holiday year.
