I started my Substantive application before 25 February 2025. How do I apply?

1) Go to
Join:Bank
2) Create an Account
You must create an account if you haven't already.
To create an account, click the '
Sign Up Now
' button.
Enter your email address - you will be sent a verification code.
Use your personal email address where possible
Please check your email - including your junk and spam folders - for your verification code.
Enter your verification code and click '
Continue
'.
Enter and confirm your password and well as entering your first and last name.
3) Login
Log in using the email address and password you gave us previously.
If you have forgotten your password, please click the '
Forgot your password?
' link so you can set a new one.
4) Complete the form with your information
Once you log in click '
New Application
'.
Please read each question carefully and answer them honestly and to the best of your abilities.
Your answers will decide what route you take so any mistakes will delay your application.
As a substantive worker

You will be asked for which of our Partner Trusts or Clients you wish to join.
Please choose the Partner Trust or Client you are contracted to.

Can I work at more than one of your Partner Trusts or Clients?
You will be asked for a line manager who can vouch for your professional ability.
Please speak to this line manager before applying to ensure:
They are happy to authorise your application,
They are able to authorise your application based on your Partner Trust or Client's guidelines.

My line manager hasn't approved my application. What should I do?
You'll be asked to confirm if working through NHS Professionals is a second job on your application form.
If you are employed at one of our Partner Trusts or Clients, joining NHS Professionals is considered a second job by HMRC.
