What counts as a Group 2a DBS document?

Please Note: We can't accept more than 1 document from the same institution. For instance, we can accept a Driving Licence issued by the DVLA and a letter from HMRC, but we can't accept a bank statement and mortgage letter from the same bank

 Any Valid Photo Driving Licence

- We can only accept a valid Photo Driving Licence (i.e. still in date)
- Your Driving Licence must be in your current name.
- If your Driving Licence is not in your current name, please provide a Marriage Certificate or Deed Poll showing your name change

 UK Paper Driving Licence

- We can only accept a UK Paper Driving Licence issued before 2000
- We can accept a UK Paper Driving Licence as Proof of Address long as it has your current address
- Your Driving Licence must be in your current name.
- If your Driving Licence is not in your current name, please provide a Marriage Certificate or Deed Poll showing your name change
- A paper Driving Licence can only be accepted as a Group 2a document instead of a Group 1 document as it is not Photo ID

 UK or Irish Birth/Adoption Certificate

- We can only accept a Birth Certificate or Adoption Certificate if it has been issued by the UK or Irish Government
- If your Birth Certificate or Adoption Certificate are not in your current name, please provide a Marriage Certificate or Deed Poll showing your name change
- If your Birth or Adoption Certificate was issued less than 1 year after your birth, it will be counted as a Group 1 document instead of a Group 2a document

 UK Marriage or Civil Partnership Certificate

- We can also use your Marriage or Civil Partnership Certificate to prove your change of name if one of your other documents still has your old name on it
- If your Marriage or Civil Partnership Certificate is not in your current name, please provide a Deed Poll showing your name change
- Your Marriage or Civil Partnership Certificate cannot be used as proof of your current address.

 HM Forces ID Card

- We can only accept a valid (not expired) HM Forces ID Card
- If your HM Forces ID Card is not in your current name, please provide a Marriage Certificate or Deed Poll showing your name change

 Firearms Licence

- We can only accept a valid (not expired) Firearms Licence
- We can accept a Firearms Licence as Proof of Address as long as it has your current address
- If your Firearms Licence is not in your current name, please provide a Marriage Certificate or Deed Poll showing your name change
