Mandatory and Statutory training is a legal, framework requirement to ensure your safety and suitability to work. We cannot allow you to work shifts until you've completed all required training.
NHS Professionals use NHS England’s Core Skills Framework to mirror the training you'd need to complete if employed by the NHS.
- All modules are assigned in line with this framework and your job role(s).
- Please note: Your job role may allow you to work in a variety of clinical settings. You must be prepared to work in all possible settings with any patient you may encounter.
- For example, if you are asked to move wards to assist with staffing needs.
- This includes if you are working remotely.
In line with the Core Skills Framework, you must complete all the modules assigned to you. If you have recently completed similar online training in an NHS setting we may be able to use this evidence instead. Please see our article I have recently completed similar training for more information.
What is 'Oliver McGowan' training?

Why do I have to complete Blood Transfusion training?
