I'm an existing Bank Member. How do I book my practical training refresher?

If you are an applicant or have recently joined NHSP, please see our article on how to book practical training

We do not require our Bank Members to complete any face-to-face Oliver McGowan training at this time.

  • An email is sent to you 12 weeks before your practical training is due to expire.
    • This will be sent if you have completed 36 shifts in the last 6 months. 
  • The email will be titled ‘Practical training booking - Statutory and Mandatory Training’.
  • The courses you need to book into will be outlined in this email.

 

  • Log into the Booking Portal.
  • Use the title of the course within your email to copy and paste into the search.
  • It is important that you book the session(s) that are listed within your personalised email.
    • If you book on to a different session, this may make you:
      • not compliant with your mandatory and statutory training
      • spend more time completing training than needed. 
  • If there are no sessions open to book right now, please check again at a later date.
    • All available sessions are shown within the booking portal with new sessions added to our systems on a weekly basis.
    • As soon as a new session is available you will be able to see it on the booking portal.
