I'm an existing Bank Member. How do I book my practical training refresher?

Please Note: If you are a Substantive Bank Member, you are not required to complete any additional training, on top of the training supplied by your Trust or Client Service.

If you are an applicant or have recently joined NHSP, please see our article on I am an applicant. How do I book practical training?

  • An email is sent to you 12 weeks before your practical training is due to expire.
  • The email will be titled ‘Practical training booking - Statutory and Mandatory Training.’
  • The courses you need to book into will be outlined in this email.
    • It will be one of the following:
    • 1-Day (1 Day Adult/Paeds BLS and Patient M&H (Excluding all Doctors and Mental Health Nurses)
    • Conflict Resolution Training (Virtual via Teams)
    • 1 Day Mental Health Workers Breakaway
    • 1 Day Immediate Life Support (ILS) - Doctors and Mental Health Nurses ONLY
    • 0.5 Day Patient Moving & Handling
    • 0.5 Adult/Paediatric Basic Life Support
  • It is important that you book the session(s) that are listed within your personalised email.
