I am joining NHS Professionals on a TUPE transfer on a Bank agreement. How do I join?

If you have a permanent contract with your Partner Trust or Client, please see our article I'm a Substantive worker being TUPE transferred to NHSP. What do I need to do?

When you TUPE transfer to NHS Professionals on a Bank agreement, you don't have a permanent contract with one of our Partner Trusts or Clients but will continue to work Bank shifts with them.

You will continue to be able to book shifts from the 'Go-Live' date. Please note: you will not be able to book shifts in any other Partner Trust or Client unless they are on a Bank Share with your Trust. For more information, see our article I joined NHSP as part of a TUPE transfer. Can I work in other NHSP Trusts and Client Services?

Below is a step-by-step guide of how to go through the transfer process through to booking shifts.

Complete the transfer application form

Prepare documents that we need to see

Attend a document verification meeting

You need to provide your documents to us within 60 days of your 'Go-Live' date.

  • If you do not provide your documents within this time-frame, you may not be able to book shifts.
  • You will receive an email with details of when you can bring your documents into us.

You will also need to provide a passport-style photo of yourself for your NHS Professionals ID card.

Once your document verification check and transfer application form are completed, we will usually send your uniform and ID badge within 5 to 10 working days. For more information, please see our article How do I get new uniform and ID badge?

Complete mandatory compliance tasks

You will need to complete further mandatory compliance tasks within the agreed time-frame in your Next Steps email.

  • You'll receive your Next Steps email once you've had your documents verified, and submitted your transfer application form.
  • If you do not complete your compliance tasks you may be stopped from working until all of your tasks are completed.

Your compliance tasks include:

DBS form
Occupational Health Questionnaire
Online Mandatory Training
Booking Practical Mandatory Training
Partner Trust or Client Specific Mandatory Training

Please note: you will not be able to book shifts in any other Partner Trust or Client unless they are on a Bank Share with your Trust. For more information, see our article I joined NHSP as part of a TUPE transfer. Can I work in other NHSP Trusts and Client Services?
