I can't book shifts

Here are some of the common reasons you may not be able to book a shift:
 

Job Role

If you believe you are missing a job role on your profile, you may not be able to see shifts

You’ve Recently Left Your Substantive Post

If your contract with one of our clients has come to an end, your NHSP agreement will also have ended.


Your Training Has Expired (Not applicable to those on Substantive agreements)

Your online and practical training have individual expiry dates.

Your practical training will be valid for one year from the date you attended the course.

If you have recently completed similar training and don't believe you should need to do this again, please read our article I have recently completed similar training.

Your DBS has expired (Not applicable to those on Substantive agreements)

You must renew your DBS every year to ensure the highest level of patient safety

  • If you don’t renew your DBS, you can’t book any future shifts once it expires.

You recently joined but haven't completed all your compliance tasks

If you have recently joined as a Referral applicant, you will have receive a welcome letter explaining all tasks that need to be completed before a certain date.


If you recently joined as part of a TUPE Transfer, you can work as soon as NHSP goes live with our Partner Trust or Client as part of the Transitional Arrangement period.

 

Holiday Bookings

If you have made a holiday booking, you will not see any shifts that would overlap with your holiday.

  • You can cancel your holiday bookings up until 2 hours before they end in our Holiday portal.
  • You can access the Holiday portal by clicking here.
     

Availability

If you have told us you are only available within certain hours, we won’t show you shifts within those hours.

Agency

In some of our Partner Trusts and Clients, if a shift is already booked by an agency worker, you will not be able to replace them.

  • This is a choice made by the Partner Trust or Client and you will need to discuss this with your line manager.
